Custom tray modification to accurately capture the lingual sulcus of an edentulous mandible

Published:February 08, 2021DOI:https://doi.org/10.1016/j.prosdent.2020.08.018

The lingual flange rests in the alveololingual sulcus, which has an S-shaped curve that extends from the lingual frenum to the premylohyoid fossa and then curves medially from the body of the mandible to the retromylohyoid fossa.
