Different carrying devices have been proposed to facilitate the handling of indirect
restorations, including the Optrastick (Ivoclar AG) and flowable composite resin applied
to a microbrush tip.

Such devices prevent an indirect restoration being dropped during the cementation
process, avoiding the risk of aspiration or ingestion.

This article proposes an affordable and straightforward method using a permanent
double-sided tape (VHB Tape size 12 mm×4.5 m; 3M), commonly used in automotive and
construction applications. The tape has adhesive that is sufficiently strong for those
sectors and maintains its stickiness under adverse weather conditions.
